After more than two years of planning, Stormwater Facilities was called in to upgrade a former retail space into Blas Supermarket. Transitioning the building from a retail space to a grocer/restaurant, we had to assist the customer in meeting necessary regulatory compliance, including installation of fire protection sprinklers. Ultimately, we also had to upgrade their water services to achieve compliance.
Water service upgrades required challenging work on our part. It was difficult locating utility lines due to an abundance of buried trash debris. Additionally, sand under the trash complicated shoring and directional drilling work.
However, as we have proven time and time again, our experts rose to the challenge, successfully completing this project.
