Spotlight: In-house Mechanic

As a family-owned, site development and emergency services organization with over 30 years of industry experience, we have the reputation and expertise to safely fulfill any construction need with the quality our customers deserve.

So what do we do to set ourselves apart from our competitors? The question isn’t what, but who!

At Stormwater, we employ our own in-house mechanic.

“We are so grateful to be able to fulfill a variety of mechanical work in our own shop,” said Vice President and COO Rich Seitz. “Instead of waiting on a dealer or outside shop, we can diagnose and fix most issues on site, resulting in less downtime, less lost production, and no crews standing around. This level of efficiency equates to time and money savings that we pass along to our customers.”

When field work slows down, our mechanic handles routine maintenance, services, and repairs so our equipment is ready when it is time to mobilize. Staying ahead of maintenance concerns prevents major breakdowns that could shut a job down, once again resulting in cost savings and keeping the project on schedule.

We also cross-train our employees so they are knowledgeable and proficient in many aspects of the trade. That is no different for our mechanic.

“Every person at Stormwater wears more than one hat. It’s not uncommon to see our mechanic out in the field running equipment, laying pipe, and jumping in wherever the crew needs him,” said Rich. “At the end of the day, we don’t make excuses. We get the job done.”

Thanks to our in-house mechanic, we are able to elevate our project delivery, keeping our projects on schedule and saving our customers money while delivering the safe, quality work that our customers deserve!
