Hancock’s Resolution

Hancock’s Resolution

Project: Hancock’s Resolution

Project Overview

Hancock’s Resolution is a historic farm located in Pasadena Maryland and one of America’s National Register of Historic Places. This project was challenging due to the reconstruction rules surrounding a historical location.

Stormwater Facilities was chosen as the site development contractor for the building of a visitor’s center. Stormwater was tasked with the site clearing and grading of 10,000 square feet of soil, building pad preparation, underground utilities, furnishing and installation a new advanced treatment sewage disposal system using Best Available Technologies (BAT) with a new leach field.

In addition, a 13,000 gallon fire suppression tank had to be installed.  Due to the location of Hancock’s Resolution along the Chesapeake Bay, the property’s highwater table affected installation of the fire suppression tank. Stormwater Facilities mitigated the issue with a technique referred to as sheet shoring.

Work Required:

  • Sewage Disposal Systems
  • Septic System Installations
  • Best Available Technologies (BAT)
  • Soil Stabilization
  • Clearing and Demolition
  • Excavation
  • Underground Utilities
  • Sheet Shoring
  • Fire Suppression Tank
